The Conference objective was to agree upon a common Programme of Action for the next few years. 16 organisations from ten European countries gathered to formally establish their international cooperation concerning response preparedness for oil spills that affect marine wildlife.
The Conference adopted the proposed Programme of Action produced by the Task Force and selected a number of priority actions and activities to be carried out by the Sea Alarm Board and the associated organisations in the network.
