1st Sea Alarm Conference (2000)

The Conference objective was to bring together a representative group of European marine wildlife rehabilitators to discuss cooperation on a European level. The participating rehabilitation centres represented fourteen countries, including twelve EU Member States, Poland and Turkey.

It was agreed at the Conference that Sea Alarm would act on behalf of the group as the executive body, and would coordinate the development of a Programme of Action based on the ideas expressed at the meeting. A Task Force of ten representatives was formed to explore a common strategy and develop the Programme of Action.
