Contingency planning consultancies

Sea Alarm works together with a number of accredited experts who can assist in writing an oiled wildlife contingency plan.

Web site and newsletter

Sea Alarm aims to regularly publish news on its own web site and by means of an (electronic and printed) newsletter. Both forms of communication offer the possibility for interested parties tomonitor progress, access new and updated sources of information. Interested parties are encouraged to actively participate in the development of these media tools.

Seminars and workshops

On a regular basis Sea Alarm will organise, or assist the organisation of seminars and workshops at national or international levels, depending on their goals and subjects.
Examples: in 2005, Sea Alarm has organised several "Sea Alarm Workshops" in Germany to bring together national parties to discuss the options to increase Germany's preparedness. Also Sea Alarm has assisted Fingal County Council to organise a national seminar on oiled wildlife response in November 2005 (see NEWS). In 2009, Sea Alarm will co-organise the Ninth version of the International Effects of Oil on Wildlife Conference which will be held again in Europe.
